I think taking pictures of my piece is an excellent idea. After the class, it gives me an opportunity to reflect on how it looks. I can identify areas I need to evaluate when I come back to class. I can break from class and look with a clear mind after working and focusing. Sometimes things look different when you revisit them.
When I returned this past week I was surprised by how different it looked to me. It looked worse than I remembered! But my project is coming along and when it is all finished, I think it will look great.

ReplyDeleteYou're doing such a great job, Heather! And I do agree that reflecting is a great way to improve or plan while you're away from it. I tend to obsess when I'm in the middle of a project.
